Hi, I’m Jen. For almost 21 years I worked in a job I loved, but one that didn’t fulfill me. I knew I needed to make a change and when I had the opportunity to move to the Seattle area, I took it! It was a bit intimidating leaping into the unknown, but I needed a challenge and this was definitely it. I had a lot of time to think about what was next when out on long mountain runs with my dog. I would always say “ I need to go Run the dog” trying to figure it all out. Then one day while out on a run in my HAPPY PLACE it came to me, so many people need this service! I love dogs and running… This is what I love!! And then the ideas started to flow. I looked up certification classes, went back to school and Run Those Dogs slowly came to life. It was the best decision I ever made and I couldn’t be happier.

Running has been a huge part of my life for as far back as I can remember. In 2004 I ran my first 1/2 marathon while training with USA fit in Bellingham, I was hooked at that point. I stayed in the program for over 7 years running and coaching others along the way. Fast forward to today I have run over 12 full marathons and several Ultra marathons including my first 50 miler in May 2014.

I ran my 3rd Boston marathon in April 2015. I have a passion for fitness and love to share my knowledge with others when given the opportunity. Running and pets are my passion and I’m excited to meet your favorite furry friends.

I was born and raised in Mukilteo and learned to love and appreciate animals at an early age. My crib mate was a dog named Louie and we spent the first 15 years of my life learning and growing. I grew up with dogs, cats, horses, and even a goat. As an adult, my husband and I have a Tuxedo cat, Eva, and our adopted lab-mix, Shelby. I love this job and being able to share my love for animals. In my spare time I love crafting, card making and scrap-booking.

My lifelong love of animals began while growing up on Vashon Island with a variety of pets, livestock and assorted strays that my father brought home. In my mid-twenties, I acquired Dusty, an Arab/QH which changed the course of my life and started my love affair with horses.
In 2013, I left my full time career as a graphic artist to focus my attention on my life’s passion, working with animals. I love working with the different dogs and providing a valuable service to our clients. In my free time I love to trail ride and camp with my horses, spend time with my son Nathan and play with my dog Lucy, a blue heeler/hound mix.

I’m 19 and I grew up in Stanwood. I’ve been around animals all of my life and have had many pets from cats to snakes. I’m happy working for Run Those Dogs because I can get exercise and spend worthwhile time outside with animals. In my spare time I enjoy listening to and playing music.

I love animals and am blessed to be able to spend my days with them. My best friends and favorite teachers have been the many dogs and horses throughout my life. I am excited to be apart of the team at Run Those Dogs and I am looking forward to caring for your furry friends! My free time is spent volunteering at my church’s youth groups and at Stanwood’s local equestrian centers.

VP of Toys Gus was adopted from The Noah Center in April of 2015. When I first laid eye’s on Gus he was laying on his back with a toy in his mouth, barely a year old. It was love at first sight! Gus keeps us on our toes daily with plenty of ball & frisbee time! He has been a true blessing to our home.

Company Princess Kai was adopted from The Noah Center in February of 2016 just over a year old. She’s happiest when she’s out on a long trail run or riding around in the dog van with Mom, but her favorite time by far is snuggling on the couch at night with her family.
